Villa Noosa is all about creating a local space where people feel at home.
Villa Noosa
Tucked away on the relaxed side of Noosa, this venue draws people in for cold beers, hearty meals, and an atmosphere that feels instantly familiar.
To achieve this sense of warmth, a thoughtfully curated mix of Trend Lighting downlights, track spots, and LED strips at a 2700K colour temperature was used to create a welcoming ambience.
In collaboration with Cayas + Ward, Seed Engineering, Powerup Electrical, Ashley Cooper Constructions and Rexel Darra, we worked from design through to construction to deliver high-performance lighting that exceeded colour rendering expectations. Through close coordination at every stage, we ensured luminaires were delivered on schedule, helping the project launch on time and bringing the venue’s vision to life, an inviting setting designed for relaxed dining and enjoyed by both holidaymakers and long-time locals.
Superior colour rendering
Trend Lighting’s Platinum downlights were specified for their superior colour rendering, outperforming competing options during evaluation. In a hospitality environment where food, finishes, and skin tones must appear natural and vibrant, accurate colour reproduction was essential. This requirement was met with the Platinum P12R, a 12W IP65-rated recessed downlight.
To illuminate the back bar and bottle displays, the Flexiled XF24480 COB Strip was seamlessly integrated into the custom joinery. Its COB technology delivers a continuous, dot-free line of light ideal for close-up shelving, creating a smooth and uniform glow. The result enhances depth and visual layering while presenting the bottles in a refined, premium way, elevating the ambience around the bar.
Beautiful natural timber slats enhanced with architectural lighting
Integrated within the wooden slat ceiling, the XTI15 Track Spot felt like a natural extension of the interior rather than just a light fitting. Its square-faced design aligned seamlessly with the linear geometry of the ceiling, reinforcing the rhythm of the timber battens. Combined with precise, adjustable optics for controlled accenting of key surfaces and focal points, the result is a layered lighting solution that balances visual cohesion with technical flexibility, well suited to the evolving hospitality environments.
By combining performance and design, the illumination at Villa Noosa Hotel shaped an environment that is warm, inviting, and immediately feels like home.
