The NSW Government's $341 million Concord Hospital has been serving the inner west communities of
Sydney for over 75 years. For the eight-storey Clinical Services Building, Fredon was awarded with the
design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the electrical, HV and communications works
by Roberts Co (formerly known as Roberts Pizzarotti).
The Stage 1 of Concord Hospital's upgrade brought delivery of the new Rusty Priest Centre for
Rehabilitation and Aged Care, comprehensive Cancer Care Centre, and the National Centre for Veterans'
Healthcare, the first of its kind in Australia dedicated to supporting veteran's health and wellbeing.
As part of the redevelopment, Trend Lighting was engaged to supply panel lighting throughout the
project with prominent placement through the cancer centre and office spaces in the health facility. The
majority of Trend Lighting supplied fittings were COI compliant luminaires that help with the detection
of bluish-purple tint to the skin also known as cyanosis. Lighting design for the facility was conducted
through Pulvin Composite Lighting.

The development of the 44,000m2 state of the art facility saw the installation of over 1,500 Trend luminaires throughout the site. The construction work for Concord Hospital was the first public project that was delivered on a 5-day week to help construction workers achieve a healthier work-life balance.
"Trend Lighting and Fredon were able to facilitate the delivery of luminaires for the project during the pandemic when they were needed."
